Show and Tell -- Definition

Below is an index from The Atlantic which is actually one of my favorite things about this magazine. That and Christopher Hitchins. The index not only makes me laugh but I also like the story of the guy who created it. Benjamin Healy was just out of college and landed a job at The Atlantic doing the index which is menial job which you pretty much can't screw up but can work your way up to becoming a writer or whatever else you want to do at the magazine. Well rather than just writing the typical index he came up with a new take on the form. I just think this speaks to people like me who aren't long out of college and want to do great things but aren't always given the chance immediately. You can still be challenged and come up with a fresh idea in an old form.
